Salt marshes are like sponges because the plants esorbe the water, and they are different because it does't esorbe all the water and it just stay there
A salt marsh is like a sponge because they both absorb liquid. They are different because the salt marsh plant organism and a sponge is a cnidarian invertbrate.
A salt marsh is like a sponge because it can collect water and let it go when needed. A sponge can collect water and let it go when needed too. They are different because sponges just collect dirt and water. Salt marshes collect dirt, water, animals, plants, and other things.
A salt marsh is like a sponge because, they both soak up and let go water. The difference between them are the looks. A salt marsh is grassy, but a sponge isn't.
A salt marsh is like a sponge because they can both absorb water. One difference is that marshes have vegetation and sponges don't. Another thing is that sponges have tiny holes in them unlike marshes.
The sponge soaks up the water from the land and then when the stream runs out of water, the sponge will let out water to fill the stream. The marsh being the aponge, the marsh will take in water and when the stream is out of water, the marsh will give up water to the stream. They are different because in a marsh the land is very muddy, with a sponge the texture doesn't change. The land around the sponge will change lightly, however.
A salt marsh is like a sponge because it soaks up all the water and if somebody pushes down on both they ooz out the water they collected.
They are different because a salt marsh is thousands and thousands of plants coming up from the ground. While a sponge is just one thing collecting water and dirt. A.R.
Matt says: A salt marsh is like a sponage in many ways. In our experiments, both "marshes" sucked in and let out water. They are different because a real marsh has plants and dirt holding and letting out water. A sponge has holes holding and letting out water.

ReplyDeleteThey both take up water. Sponge: Have holes
ReplyDeleteMarsh: Don't have holes

salt marshes are like sponges because they absorb and hold water in thier plants if that sponge let's out some water another can soke it up
ReplyDeleteit is like a sponge because it lets water in & out. like when we did the example in class. we squezed the sponge and that is like a sailt marsh

A salt marsh is like a sponge because they both live in salt water. They are different because a salt marsh is more like grass than a sponge.
