What is the process and qualifications for electing the President?

  1. If you want to be president, you have to be at least 35 years old. You also have to be born in America. To have a chance at actually running for president, you have to hold a primary in your party. That's when your party votes for who they want to run for president. The person who wins, gets to run for president.
